The European Language Portfolio
(ELP) is an internationally recognised
document in which learners
can record and reflect on their
language learning experiences. It
was developed by the Language
Policy Unit of the Council of Europe
to support the development of
learner autonomy and intercultural
awareness. It is an instrument
for self-assessment of language
competences in accordance with
the reference levels introduced by
the Council of Europe.
